Our History
The West Bengal government has been operating two primary social security portals: socialregistry.wb.gov.in (Social Registry) and socialsecurity.wb.gov.in (Social Security). These portals serve as gateways for tracking welfare benefits and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) statuses.
In June 2026, the state introduced the Annapurna Bhandar scheme, a flagship initiative providing uniform monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 to eligible women aged 25-60. This scheme replaced the existing Lakshmir Bhandar scheme and aims to provide financial support to women in need.
